Sri Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple has been a magical place, where we get to hear some amazing stories of Masters (Siddhas) Along with 38 sub Temples, this Temple is also called one of the divine houses of Murugan in six sacred houses.

Many people will often visit the Temple on foot without using any vehicle to reach there. It was a southern border of Kongunadu. Vaiyapuri Koperum was the king who ruled Vaiyapurinadu in that time.

That sacred place became very divine because of many adepts, they are Siddhas, they mastered time and space. They are Alchemists. One of them is Boganather, he’s a master in ancient wisdom, and he learned the process of alchemising his embodiment and became immortal. He wrote many knowledgeable books regarding medicine and yoga, they are; ‘Nigandu Vaithiyam,’ ‘Thuvatha Kandam’ Ghana Soothiram,’ and ‘Attanga Yogam.’ He also wrote 1700 poems on how to master one’s self. He travelled to many countries to preach this ancient knowledge to the world.

They say, Boganather himself created the idol of Dhandayuthapani Swamy at the sanctum sanctorum of Palani temple. An Emerald Lingam Lingam is also located in that Temple.
