Poets are no less than any Master who dwelled to demonstrate their godly abilities in this nation. Palkuriki Somanatha, a Master-Poet of 12th century, born to Vishnuramideva and Sriyadevi, is an open example where divinity and poetry are seen inextricably combined. All of his writings emphasise the presence of Shiva within the human body.
Somanatha is an ardent disciple of Kannada Poet-Saint Basava, who’s an ardent disciple of Akka Mahadevi. Somanatha Hails from Eka Sila Nagaram as per some records and some say he’s from Paalakurti Village. This Telugu poet is a great scholar of Sanskrit, also wrote extraordinary writings in Kannada too.
Basavapuranam, being his first notable writing in Telugu, Basavaragada in Kannada and Somanathabhashyamu in Sanskrit along with many notable writings. Its said that, Somanath healed groups of people from their genetic disorders just by seeing them perfectly well. This Master-Poet is also the contemporary of Kakatiya Rulers, Ganapati Deva, Rudrama Devi and Pratapa Rudra.
