The moment has arrived to celebrate the greatness of ancient India in the form of a book. Entitled ‘Incredible Treasures’, with rich-text and delightful photographs of all 40 UNESCO sites including the newly added Ramappa Temple and The ancient city of Dholavira in July; a new book has been launched this week during an online event in the presence of Mr. Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog; Mr. Raghvendra Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Culture; Dr. V B Mathur, Chairperson, National Biodiversity Authority; and Mr. Eric Falt, UNESCO New Delhi Director and Representative..
Mapin Publishing house partnered with The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization; published this wonderful book where the reader gets an opportunity to read about all the 40 WH sites in India with spectacular pictures along with archival photographs.
The UNESCO New Delhi Office tweeted that “INCREDIBLE TREASURES is an eloquent homage to India’s long history, bearing witness to its rich biodiversity and influence of multiple communities, crafts & religious traditions, published in collaboration with @mapin_india,”
“India is truly incredible and the world heritage sites presented here span the entire history and geography of the country. We believe that this book will be a definitive reference and will help build greater awareness about India’s World Heritage sites among specialists and other readers alike. We also hope it will encourage them to support efforts to protect and safeguard the world’s cultural and natural heritage,” Said Eric Falt, Director and Representative UNESCO New Delhi.
